The neighborhood was originally developed in the 1970s and 80s and has seen continual construction through the following decades as more people moved to the area. The neighborhood is located near Hwy. 1 (MoPac), Hwy. 360, and FM 2222, three major local thoroughfares giving residents access to the rest of the city and west Austin. The neighborhood is about 10 minutes’ drive from downtown, and five minutes from the Arboretum with stores, restaurants, and cinemas. The neighborhood is also close to the high-tech companies of north Austin.
